About me

A self-confessed make-up addict, I’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy a career as a beauty journalist. I get to test products all day long, interview celebrities, review the latest treatments and lovingly write about the lotions and potions which I obsess about.

But, all of that changed in May 2011 when I began a new chapter in my life. After nine months of carrying around my precious cargo, I became a Mum. And do you know what? I couldn’t be happier. I might have swapped my morning Starbucks for a bottle of Aptamil, a posh PR lunch at The Wolseley for a sing and rhyme session, and a shopping trip to Selfridges for the supermarket nappy aisle, but the magic of being with my baby girl seems like a miracle. In fact, some days I still have to pinch myself that it’s happening to me.

So, where does this blog come in? Well, I’ve realised you rely on your beauty loot more than ever when you’re dealing with sleepless nights and a demanding baby. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve been asked for beauty advice from other Mums who want to look like they’ve had time to drag a brush through their hair and pick up a mascara. Yes, you might not have time to put your make-up on every morning, or enjoy a long soak in the bath, but there’s no reason why you can’t try to look and feel good too.

Subscribe to my blog for insider tips and lets see if we can survive mummyhood together!
